Your return on investment will be instantaneous
Since this reissue, no academy or workshop worthy of the name can no longer, today, continue to rely on photocopies.
You can purchase Charles Bargue's original drawing course plates as printed in the 19th century. This collection of exceptional lithographs, adopted by international academies and schools of classical art, is making a strong comeback as a reference for high-level teaching.
The finest details are reproduced, which helps the student copy values efficiently and estimate line modulation accurately.
Same Value Paper
The drawing paper is the same value as the paper of the model to make it easier to read the values and ensure that they match perfectly during the copying process.
Perfect size models
Teaching with prints of the exact original size that Jean Léon Gérôme wanted will contribute to the school's reputation and the success of its students.

This is of immense value."
BARGUE ENCORE F.A.Q.
All Bargue Encore plates are printed at the exact size of the first edition in 1887.
This means that a large sized plate is 17 x 24 in (44 cm x 60 cm).
When a plate has block-in steps, we sometimes print Bargue plates in a smaller format with the final drawings at the original size and the block-in steps on separate sheet of paper. This allows smaller installations for small studios.
We can offer you protective films or strong backings, or both, to guarantee a longer life for your plates.
Contact us for prices on these optional finishes. The price range for those options is 15 to 20 €. You should consider this investment to protect your collection.
* Bargue Encore plates are made to be used by art students and may be damaged by regular use, which we offer to replace under certain conditions:
For royalty reasons, we have to track every plate. That's why, when you ask for a replacement, we need to get back the damaged plate. You organize the return. We will then offer you a 60% discount on the price of the same plate.
