BARGUE ENCORE F.A.Q.
All Bargue Encore plates are printed at the exact size of the first edition in 1887.
This means that a large sized plate is 17 x 24 in (44 cm x 60 cm).
When a plate has block-in steps, we sometimes print Bargue plates in a smaller format with the final drawings at the original size and the block-in steps on separate sheet of paper. This allows smaller installations for small studios.
We can offer you protective films or strong backings, or both, to guarantee a longer life for your plates.
Contact us for prices on these optional finishes. The price range for those options is 15 to 20 €. You should consider this investment to protect your collection.
* Bargue Encore plates are made to be used by art students and may be damaged by regular use, which we offer to replace under certain conditions:
For royalty reasons, we have to track every plate. That's why, when you ask for a replacement, we need to get back the damaged plate. You organize the return. We will then offer you a 60% discount on the price of the same plate.
